How do I apply for a government service?β–Ό
From your Dashboard, click "Browse Services" or go to the landing page. Find the agency and service you need, click on it, and fill out the application form. You'll be asked to upload required documents and make any necessary payments. Once submitted, you can track your application status from "My Applications."
What payment methods are accepted?β–Ό
Africa Gov accepts M-Pesa (and other mobile money services depending on your country), Visa/Mastercard debit and credit cards, and direct bank transfers. For M-Pesa, you'll receive an STK push notification on your phone to confirm the payment.
How do I track my application status?β–Ό
Go to "My Applications" from the sidebar. You'll see all your applications with their current status β€” Pending, In Review, Approved, or Rejected. Click on any application to see a detailed timeline of every step in the process.
How do I download my certificate or document?β–Ό
Once your application is approved and a certificate is issued, go to "My Certificates" from the sidebar. Find the certificate and click "Download PDF." All certificates come with a QR code that can be scanned for instant verification.
My payment failed but money was deducted. What do I do?β–Ό
Don't worry β€” failed payments are automatically reversed within 24-48 hours. If you don't see the reversal after 48 hours, submit a support ticket below with your transaction ID (from your M-Pesa or bank statement) and we'll resolve it within 24 hours.
How do I update my personal information?β–Ό
Go to "My Profile" from the sidebar. Click "Edit" on the Personal Information or Contact Information section to update your details. For changes to your name or National ID number, you may need to submit a formal amendment request through the relevant government agency.
Can I apply on behalf of someone else?β–Ό
Some services allow third-party applications with proper authorization. You'll need to upload a signed authorization letter and the applicant's identification documents. Check the specific service requirements during the application process.
What languages does Africa Gov support?β–Ό
Africa Gov currently supports English, FranΓ§ais (French), PortuguΓͺs (Portuguese), and Kiswahili (Swahili). You can switch languages from the language selector on the landing page. We're adding more languages including Amharic, Kirundi, and Arabic.
